The Minister of the Environment announced that a new call for proposals under the Program to Support More Sustainable Buildings will be launched shortly, with additional funding from the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Environment Minister Duarte Cordeiro announced on February 24, 2023, that "a new call for proposals for the Support for More Sustainable Buildings program will be launched shortly," with additional funds from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).

The application deadline closed in May 2022, with a total allocation of 135 million euros distributed across several phases. Many citizens who had completed energy efficiency projects were still awaiting government reimbursement (up to 85% of expenses).
The minister confirmed that the launch of a new call for applications would depend on the confirmation of the reallocation of RePowerEU funds to Portugal, stating: "As soon as this is confirmed, a new call for applications will be launched."
